Calibration Function
The coil of the Cat full convection vaporizer is removable. This is one of the main reasons why CAT requires calibration.
Our purpose of designing this way is mainly for the following two reasons:
- It provides convenience for some players to make their own coils. Coils with different resistances and shapes bring different amounts of heat.
- Any coil will change after being used for a period of time, such as resistance.
Many people usually use one or two fixed parameter settings when using their vaporizer daily, such as temperature setting and session mode. When vaping different substances, some settings will be changed.
Before understanding the calibration function, let us look at the main features of the CAT convection vaporizer.
Evenly heats botanicals, so there’s no chance of accidental combustion occurring
Uniform heating also means that conduction vaporisers are more efficient, and make full use of your chosen botanicals.
You never need to shake, stir or re-distribute your botanicals
Consistent results are easier to achieve
Convection vaporizers often produce smoother and more flavorful vapor compared to conduction models, due to the even and controlled heating process.
Players set the parameters of the vaporizers based on the moisture, size and shape of dry herbs, concentrates or other plants, among other factors, to ensure the flavor of the vapor is satisfying by themselves
The most direct impact of changes in resistance is changes in heat.
Changes in heat will bring about changes in taste.
- Calibration
When is calibration required?
When the red light flashes/the coil coil is used for more than 30 days/dropped or get hit/when the battery is taken out during heating and the power is suddenly cut off
If you use it every day, we recommend calibrating it every 30 days
- Replaced the coil.
Take out the coil and insert it back according to the steps, recalibrate and then use it.
Why does cat need to be calibrated after a period of use?
After the coil is used for a period of time, the resistance will change by 0.0x ohms.
Only after the device reads the accurate resistance value can it provide you with accurate temperature and sufficient heat supply to keep the taste from changing due to long-term use of the device.
How to calibrate?
NOTE: Before you calibrate the device, make sure the coil has cooled down to room temperature
How do I know if the coil has cooled down and is at room temperature?
Leave it for a while.
- Take out the battery and install it back
- Press and hold the power button until the device starts to vibrate, then press the power button 2 times
Adjust the TCR value between 90-95,We think the TCR value is the best in this range
Resistance values between 0.18 and 0.195 are normal values for the coil
- Press the power button again to confirm if you adjusted the TCR value and the no change in resistance.
- Turn off the device
- Start the device
